Spring-Loaded Backdraft Damper
The damper features a durable 20-gauge galvanized steel housing and aluminum spring-loaded butterfly blades. When closed, the damper seals tightly against an EPDM rubber gasket, ensuring minimal air leakage. The gasket is designed to perform reliably in temperatures ranging from -30 °C et 82 °C.
The damper begins to open with airflows between 0.04 and 0.08 inches water gauge (w.g.) and can be installed in any position. For the 14-inch and 16-inch models, spring tension adjustment is required when installed vertically with airflow directed downward.
Installation is simple—the entire assembly inserts directly into the duct. An exterior rubber seal (for 4”, 5”, and 6” models) or foam gaskets (for 7” and larger models) ensure a tight, secure fit against the interior surface of the duct.
