With over 100 years of history and every decade bringing new innovations, the Aldes Group has become a benchmark in indoor air quality solutions, fire protection, thermal comfort and central vacuum systems.
1925
Bernard LACROIX founded the French family business Aldes (Atelier Lyonnais d’Emboutissage Spécial), specializing in stamping and manufacturing metal ventilation grilles.
1967
Bruno LACROIX, son of the founder, becomes CEO of the Group.
The 1970s
In response to new regulations on ventilation in French homes introduced in the 1960s, the Aldes Group created the first CMVs: a historic product, the VTDA was our first ventilation solution.
The 1980s
1980 : The VMPK is our first single-flow ventilation system for single-family homes.
A major step forward for air quality in single-family homes.
1982 : Invention of humidity-controlled ventilation with modulation of extract and supply air flows based on humidity levels.
1984 : Opening of the first international subsidiaries (Italy, United States, Belgium), and integration of SGEI, which opens up the fire protection market for air handling systems.
The 1990s
1990 : Aldes enters the market of central vacuum and dust removal systems with AXPIR®. Thanks to this patented product, which exhausts the vacuumed air outside, the noise of the vacuum is relocated outside the room, improving indoor air quality and acoustic comfort for the user.
1992 : Integration of GB2000, a company specializing in central vacuum systems in France.
1997 : Opening of subsidiaries in China and Réunion.
1998 : Aldes creates a thermodynamic dual-flow ventilation system that combines ventilation and cooling.
1999 : Launch of a new innovative generation of ISONE® scalable circular fire dampers.
The 2000s
2000 : Creation of the Acthys subsidiary in France, specializing in natural ventilation and renovation.
2009 : Creation of the “Online Store” website for internet sales.
A flagship and highly innovative product on the American market, the ZRT (Zone Terminal) represents a real breakthrough in energy savings.
The 2010s
The 2010s
2010 : Acquisition of Air 2000 in Canada, a specialist in dual-flow ventilation for residential and commercial buildings.
Launch of a patented air diffuser that offers optimal visual, acoustic, and thermal comfort to our customers.
2011 : Arrival of Stanislas Lacroix, son of Bruno Lacroix and grandson of the company's founder.
Launch of the first product on the domestic hot water market, combined with humidity-controlled ventilation.
Integration of RIBO in France, a specialist in heating, air conditioning, and air treatment solutions based on reversible air-to-air heat pump systems.
2015 : Launch of VEX500-C4, the first high-efficiency dual-flow commercial unit that meets C4 (fire) requirements on the French market.
Launch of the #HealthyLiving movement, which embodies our brand promise: the Aldes Group is committed to taking care of everyone's health on a daily basis.
2016 : A minor revolution, "Home" is the first connected dual-flow ventilation solution on the market.
Integration of EXHAUSTO in Denmark, a specialist in air handling units.
2017 : Launch of Air Heating, Cooling and Hot Water: a connected multifunction solution.
2019 : Launch of the first connected companion that measures and controls IAQ: WALTER®.
The 2020s
2020 : Acquisition of a stake in Teqoya, a French manufacturer of innovative air purification solutions.
2021 : Launch of Isone®2.
2022: Acquisition of a stake in French start-up SquairTECH, which specializes in the development of metal organic frameworks (MOFs).
2022 : The Aldes Group signs a partnership agreement with Hisense.
2025 : The Aldes Group celebrates its 100th anniversary.
