The St-Léonard d'Aston plant is currently looking for a Production Supervisor.
As part of the production team, you will collaborate with the various departments such as purchasing, engineering, and industrialization in order to participate in the continuous improvement of performance in terms of safety, quality, respect of deadlines, and productivity while constantly striving to satisfy customers. More specifically, you will work under the supervision of the Director of Operations and will be in charge of a production team composed of approximately 15 employees.
Main tasks :
Management of his team
Motivate your team in a culture of results and achievement of objectives;
Participate in production meetings and bring solutions;
Carry out individual interviews and disciplinary follow-ups in collaboration with human resources;
Ensure proper management of company standards and regulations;
Identify the sources of non-quality in his sector and actively participate in the search for solutions.
Work organization
Report on the actions carried out, performance and objectives achieved by his team to the Director of Operations.
Plan the workload and modify the distribution of work and the assignments of the people in his team;
Open production orders and prepare documents for production;
Ensures that production standards are met;
Ensures that the performance and quality of manufactured products are respected;
Ensure that delivery deadlines are met.
Security
Support stakeholders in the planning and implementation of OHS activities;
Promote the culture of a healthy and safe workplace;
Achieve OHS objectives;
Ensure compliance with instructions and equipment.
Desired profile :
Any combination of training and experience will be considered;
Have 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar production position;
Knowledge of the fundamental principles of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement (Kaizen, pull flow, 5S, SMED, etc.) (asset).
Abilities :
Mobilizing leadership and good team spirit;
Willingness to always want to improve things;
Possess a high level of rigor and organizational skills;
Autonomous and innovative.
